I’m finding myself in a stage of life where I hang out a fair bit with guys who are younger than me (either at work, volleyball, or church), which makes for some interesting conversations.
On Sunday talking to a friend in his 20s.
Me: I met <mutual friend> 12 years ago.
Friend: 12 years ago I was 11.
Me: Do any of you guys watch Big Bang Theory?
Friend: No, but my parents do.
Thankfully I confirmed with my 20-something officemate that he watches Big Bang Theory, so at least it’s not an “old person show.” As of yet, anyway.
On Monday after church group.
Friend: It’s scary to think that getting married means I’ll be with my girlfriend when we’re 40.
