Day 6: Just two days left in the Crossfit experiment…
Joan typically arrives late to class, and today was no exception. I guess she must like going through the warm-up exercises, because otherwise she could arrive even later and avoid it entirely.
After warming up with squats and push-ups, the instructor went over kipping pull-ups and the back squat. A friend (thanks Rob) had showed me how to kip a while ago, but it was still a good review for me…I definitely need to practice more.
For the back squat, we buddied up and took turns doing it with more and more weight. I think my lack of shoulder mobility was preventing me from putting more weight on the bar…at least, that’s what I told myself when I saw Joan squatting with more weight than me. I really should try buddying up with her next time so I can get to know her better. She could give me some tips on squatting, and I could help her count.
I recall Nahm in Bangkok (your rec.) a great value. Delicious and memorable, but not life changing. But I doubt…
